2010 Georgia Cup Time Trial SeriesWebsite May 29th & July 31st, Adairsville, Georgia
Presented by Spincycle - Georgia Cup. Online registration available; Race Day registration cash only. Time Trials begin at Adairsville Elementary School and continue south on Hall Station Road ending just north of Kingston. Event is limited to 300 riders and is sanctioned and insured by the American Bicycle Racing Association. Click website for more information. Summer Solstice Hike June 21, 2010
Pine Mountain Recreation Area, Cartersville, Georgia
Hikers and amateur astronomers are invited to join the Cartersville Parks & Recreation Department as they host this guided hike on Cartersville's Pine Mountain Trail to celebrate the first day of summer. The hike departs from the West Trailhead at I-75 Exit 288 east and embarks on a 1.57 mile hike to the summit at 1,562 feet above sea level for a stunning view of Allatoona Lake, the Etowah River Valley and the City of Cartersville. Hike may be canceled due to bad weather. Call for departure time.
Directions
EAST LOOP TRAILHEAD: I-75 Exit 290, GA 20 east, then right at traffic light onto Spur 20. Go approximately 4 miles to parking area on right. WEST LOOP TRAILHEAD: I-75 Exit 288, go east, then right at Pine Mountain Trail and Komatsu signs. The trailhead parking area is on the left just before the gated entrance to Komatsu.
