Silver Comet Impact Study Already Gaining Momentum
Rockmart officials are viewing ways to beef up the downtown area, capitalize on the Silver Comet Trail and enhance recreational opportunities.
These topics were among those discussed during the annual convention of the Georgia Municipal Association (GMA) in Savannah on June 22-25.
Rockmart Mayor Steve Miller said the ideas presented at the convention coincided with Rockmart’s short and long – range plans.
He said an in-depth look at the downtown area is on the agenda for future planning, which includes loft apartments and more ways to focus on the Silver Comet Trail.
