Safe Routes To School

Safe Routes to School (SRTS) is a program created by the Federal Transportation bill SAFETEA-LU that helps encourage and enable more children to be able to safely walk and bike to school. SRTS works by bringing local officials together to work on making intersections, crosswalks, streets, and sidewalks safer along the school routes to help bring back the choice of walking or riding a bike to school.
